This beautiful fpecies bears a diftant fimilitude to Cimex Aurantiiis, defcribed by us among the infeas
o f C h in a ; it is found in the environs o f Batavia, as we are informed, but is by no means common there.

larva and the pcrfeft in le a . T h at our fpecimens are from the Eaft Indies need not admit of doubt • the
fame kind is meniioned as a native o f Sierra Leona by fome entomologifts, perhaps without fiflficlent
authority.
