This is unqueftionably one o f the moft ftriking and magnificent fpecies of Cicada we are acquainted with.
A fingle fpecimen o f this kind was difcovered in Bengal by Mr. Fichtel about four years ago. It is now
depofited in the Imperial cabinet a t Vienna.
