Lachenalia with leaves between egg and lance-
(haped, numerous ; petals equal, pointed, reflexed,
and dotted with red fpots; feed-bud
with a foot-ftalk, and roundifli.

Its congeners, is a native of the Cape of^Good Hope, and was received from thence in the year
1798, by J. Vere, Efq. of Kenfington Gore; in whofe colledion, we believe, it is only to be found

confiderable degree of heat to make it flower, and does not appeal to have any tendency to increafe
