THB Protea Anemonifolia is one of the only three fpecies of the Genus, we have, yet, received from
New Holland. It was introduced to us, from thence, in the year 1793, by Meffrs. Lee and Kennedy,
Hammerfmitli; is a hardy green-houfe plant; grows to the height of three, or four feet; may be propagated
by cuttings, and flowers in Auguft. It thrives beft in a mixture of light fandy loam, and
peat earth, of each an equal quantity.
