T h i s giant Fern of the section Lastrea is a noble species when
well grown.
An evergreen stove species.
Native of the AVest Indies, Jamaica, and Canbbee.
Introduced into the Royal Gardens, Kew, in 1844, by iMr.
N. Wilson.
Fronds triangularly elongate, tri-quadripiunate ; pinnules oblong
linear, rather obtuse, deeply pinnatifid; segments oblong,
apex circular.
Fronds very hairy, terminal, adherent to an arborescent caudex.
Eachis and stipes completely covered with narrow fringed scales.
