W E are indebted to our friend Mr. A. G. More for the
specimens figured. They were gathered at St. Helen’s in the
Isle of Wight, on the 6th of June 1862. It seems to have
been imperfectly known to the late Dr. Bromfield, who gives
a very meagre account of it in his £ Flora.’ It is, therefore,
to Mr. More that the credit is due of first discriminating the
plant in this country, and to M. Le Gall on the Continent.
