 stone)  of Bavaria. 
 5997, 5998 fragment of gladius; from Solenhofen;  15758 damaged  
 gladius;  labelled:  “Belemosepia”  (sic). 
 The  following  specimens  haye  erroneously  been  classed  as  Teu-  
 thoidea by  W i n k l e r : 
 2512  (Geoteuthis  Bollensis, W i n k l e r ,   1865,  p.  390)  too  ill-  
 preserved for identification; 2519 {Geoteuthis Bollensis,  W i n k l e r ,   
 1865,  p.  390)  too  ill-preserved  for  identification;  4206  (Kelaeno  
 sp.  nov.  ?,  W i n k l e r ,   1865,  p.  391)  probably part of a fish skeleton; 
   4213,  4218  {Kelaeno spec. nov.  ?,  W i n k l e r ,   1865, p. 391)  
 too  ill-preserved  for  identification;  6031  {Sepia  linguata,  Wi n k ler 
 ,   1865,  p.  392)  a  specimen  of Acanthoteuthis  speciosa Münster,  
 1839,  belonging  accordingly  to  the  Belemnoidea.  No.  6031  is  the  
 counterpart  of no.  5529  referred  to  by  Wi n k l e r   (1865,  p.  393)  
 as  "Céphalopode  acétabulifère sp.”
