One occurrence. Mr. G. H . Caton Haigh, of Grainsby
Hall, Lincolnshire, reports that during the afternoon of
September 5th, 1896, he shot a female of Phylloseopus
viridanus in a hedge near the sea-bank at North Cotes,
on the Lincolnshire coast.
This Willow-Warbler, according to Mr. Dresser, occurs
in Russia in the country bordering the Ural Mountains,
and in Central Asia, whence it migrates and passes the
winter in Northern India. [0. S.]
