This, the common Scandinavian race of Dipper, has
occasionally occurred in the east of England, and is
reported to have been found in the Pyrenees. I presume
that its habits are in all respects similar to those
of our indigenous British race, but I have no personal
acquaintance with it, and am not in any way disposed
to look upon it as a distinct species.
