T h is Cliff-Swallow was discovered by Senhor Anchieta at Caconda in Benguela. It is a
very distinct species, and cannot well be confounded with any of the other members of
the genus.
The description is copied from the British Aluseum ‘ Catalogue of Birds ’ ; it is thci-o
taken from the original specimen lent us by Professor Barhoza du Bocage. The figure
is drawn from tbe same bird.
