as in Pellæa, a genus in which, I believe, no other species
with farinaceous fronds have as yet been placed. But the
fern most nearly resembling this one is Pellæa rohmdifolia,
of New Zealand, a plant with taller fronds, equally rounded
pinnæ, and a shaggy-paleaceous stalk and rachis. I am content,
therefore, to leave this fern in Pellæa, section Plalyioma,
where it is placed in Synopsis Filicum.
