segments of the calyx, and surrounded by little
knobby excrescenices. S talk thick, rather short,
deeply inserted. S kin of an uniform deep rich
crimson, without any streaks; greenish on the
shaded side. Flesh greenish white; when newly
gathered, crisp, very juicy, sweet, mixed with a
most agreeable acid.
