Flowers middle-sized. P etals somewhat imbricated.
F ruit large, blunt, heart-shaped, with an uneven
surface like th a t of the Black Tartarian; but it
is less pointed, and has a thicker, shorter stalk,
which is rather deeply inserted. Skin nearly black,
shining. F lesh firm, juicy, very deep purple, rich
and sweet. S tone small for the size of the fruit,
and nearly round.
