The revenues of Sweden amount to fomething more than
£. 1,000,000 fterling, but may, on an average, be taken at
£.1,050,000 a year: they have been much augmented fince the
revolution in 1772, as they did not then amount to more than
X* 7 or moil jT. 837,500. In this J\ 1,000,000 however
are not included the rents of land immediately affigned for the
militia eilabliihment and failors, and for the pay or fa-lary of the
governors of provinces, and their officers; thefe rents, levied
dire&ly by thoie to whom they are affigned, amount at lead
