G EN ERIC CHARACTER.
Pileus stipitatus aut sessilis, plus minusve cupuliformis vel complanatus, cellulis
elongatis sporuliferis, in pagine superiore.
Pileus sessile or stipitate -, dilated upwards into a variable cup-shaped or
flattish receptacle, having sporules contained in elongated cells, whose
summits terminate on the superior simface.

P e z iz a Macropus; suhgregaria, magna, píleo hemisphxñco, hirto-verrucoso,
cinereo, disco murino expallente ; stipite longissimo, deorsum incrassato.
P. subgregarious, large, the pileus hemispherical, slightly hairy and verrucose,
ash-coloured, the hymenium mouse-coloured, at length pale ; stipes
very long, incrassated below.
