Q- Bark ..................... Hard, heavy, semicircular, furrowed, radiately cracked, brown, but
rendered pale by lint-wliite down.

well as lateral stem, yellowish red or brown. Very common.
N.S.W. Q. Branches Spread out, closely adherent to the wood ; pores white, then livid or
lurid.
V. N.S.W. Trunks ... Corky to woody, hoof shaped, somewhat flattened, incrusted, concentrically
furrowed, covered with greyish bloom.
N.S.W. Trunks ... Corky to woody. Cap convex, zoneless, opaque, rusty brown. Stem
rooting, shining as if lacquered, black.
Q- Wood ..................... Fan shaped, corky or woody, rough ; margin wavy, chestnut brown to
black, shining as if lacquered.

faint concentric zones, red brown.
