longer than the pedicel, lanceolate, acuminate, with involute margins. Scpah and
pcM, about 3 mm, long, connivent; dorsal sepal oval, concave, the lateral pair slightly
longer than the dorsal one, obliquely ovate, tapering to an obtuse apei. Petals
about as long as the dorsal sepal, spathulate, subacute. Up pendulous, twice as long
as the lateral sepals, narrowly obovato-oblong, deeply cleft into two slightly spreadieg
obtuse lobes; upper surface with a raised linear callus extending to the sinus. Column
short and stout, dilated above and below. ScsUtlum projecting over the fertile

immmg a congested mass at the end of the root-stock. Sle,u lon^rer than the
raceme, stout or slender, bearing three or four loose blnnt sheaths about 2-5 cm
long, nearly glabrous below, its upper portion together with the raceme glandularpubescent.
Leave, none. Flowers dull yellowish-green, 8 to 12 mm. Ion-, lax; Jloral
tract ovate-oblong, varying in length. Sepak elliptic-ovate, subacute, °conoa4, the

elevations bctw-een 5,000 and 11,000 feet, flowering from July to September It
