Suffruticosa, eglandulosa. Partibus herbaceis nunc incano-tomentella, nunc laxius lanulosa ; villis
basi conico-moniliformibus. Foliis planis, sessilibus, exauriculatis, obtusis : inferioribus subspathu-
latis y . obovatis v. obovato-oblongis, dentatis v. denticulatis ; superioribus sublinearibus, integer-
rimis. Pedünculis terminalibus, subsolitariis, monocephalis, ebracteatis, brevibus, gracilibus, apice
parura incrassatis. Calathidiis modo radiatis (ligulis nunc discum vix æquantibus, nunc longioribus)
modo discoideis. Anthodii squamis extimis linearibus v. spathulatis v. subovatis, foliaceis, lanulosis,
muticis, squamas intimas chartaceas glabras sublanceolatas fimbriolatas nervo excurrente cuspidulatas
æquantibus v. subæquantibus. Receptaculo alveoloso; dissepimentis fimbriolatis. Achæniis sublinearibus,
compressiusculis, 8-10-striatis, laxe adpresso-setulosis.

minusve approximata, crassiuscula, plana, scabriuscula, uni-nervia (nervo tenui, supra impresso subobsoleto, subtus prooii-
nulo), subtus obsolete venosa (v. superiors avenia), basi subangustata, apice obtusa et subcallosa. Folia inferiors obovata v.
oblongo-obovata v. subspathulata, dentata v. eroso-denticulata (dentibus apice callosis), 5-8 lineas longa. Folia superiors
gradatim minora et remotiora, pleraque simulac ramularia integerrima 5 summa minima. Pedunculi solitarii v. raro gemini,
monocephali, ramos et ramulos terminantes, ebracteati, breves (plerumque 3-6 lineas longi, interdum subp'ollicares),
stricti, teretes, graciles, sub anthodio flstulosi at vix aut ne vix dilatati. Calathidia solitaria, erecta, multiflora, ebracteata
v. bracteis paucis anthodii squamis extimis conformibus stipata, hemisphærico—campanula ta, modo discoidea homogamu,
modo brevius longiusve radiata (haud raro ex eodem ramo alia discoidea, alia breve radiata). A nthodium sub anthesi disco
