A. Glumce valvce in spiculis omnibus exaristatce et apice truncatce v. rotundatce. Florum spiculce‘ terminälis pa-
lea-externa ad aristce basin utrinque rotundato-emarginata; arista tenuis, spicce longiludine dimidio brevior
vel vix cequalis. Palea-interna apice rotunda to-truncata. Caryopsis profunde involuta (sectio ne transversa reniforrnis).

B. Glumce valvce in spiculis lateralibus breve (excentrice) aristatce v. bicuspidatce, in spicula terminali longe v.
longissime aristatce: arista axili, plus minusve robusta, spicce longitudinem totamv. saltern dimidiam cequante.
Florum spiculce terminälis palea-externa-apice utrinque ad aristce basin cuspidulata. Palea-interna apice trun-
ca to-emarginata. Caryopsis sulculo haud prof undo canaliculata (sectione transversa sublehticularis).
