GENERIC CHARACTER.
Calïx small, 4-toothed, bracteolate at the base. Corolla tubular, short, i-clet't, subequal.
Stigma globose. Berry ovate, small, crowned with the persistent
calix, 4-celled, 4-seeded, 2 of the cells sometimes abortive.
SPECIFIC CHARACTER.
Leaves glaucous, but destitute of pubescence on the costa and veins of the under
side. Racemes long, lateral and terminal. Corolla bearded within. Berries
large, opake and orange-coloured-white. B,
