Observation.. Mauvaise.
Le temps était très-froid aujourd’hui c l les nsouvcmenls
du vaisseau assez considérables pour gêner extrêmement
■.’observateur; j ’attribue à ces causes les grandes variations
de nos résultats partiels d ’incliuaison.
Pour remédier autant que possible à l’incommodité ^d’observer
eu plein air, je vais faire installer la boussole d’inclinaison
sous la dunette : c’est là qu’on l’observera à l’avenir.
A l’égard du changement des pô le s, le peu do différence
qui sc trouve cuire les ré sulta ts, avant cl après la réaiman-
talion , teud à me faire croire que réellement les pàUs n'ont
point élé intervertis. L’observateur croit cependant ne s’être
pas trompé. J e prendrai des mesures pour m’assurer de ce
fait à l’avenir.
