once heard never to be forgotten. I have met with
Wigeon in considerable numbers during the winter and
early spring in Andalucia and all parts of the Mediterranean
coast that I have visited; and I find it stated
that in the Old World it is to be met with at various
seasons from the Arctic Circle as far south as Abyssinia.
In captivity the Wigeon thrives remarkably well and
becomes very tame, but has not very often been known
to nest in a pinioned condition.
