Head, crown, and neck, greyish brown with a patch o f white behind
the eye; breast, dull white. Back on the upper part, greyish
brown, on the lower part black. Greater and lesser wing coverts,
dark greyish brown; primaries, dark greyish brown; secondaries,
white; tertiaries, dark greyish brown. Tail, ash grey; legs and toes,
bluish black.
The young male at first resembles the female.
