Avith P. Rohertiammi. Its north limit is attained in Sutherlandshire ;
hence it extends soutlra'ards, through tho LoAvlands of Scotland and
tho north of England, to South Wales and the centre of England,
occurring in Devonshire near the extreme south-Avost, hut avoiding
the eastern side of tho island. I t is very rare in Ireland. As
regards elevation it extends from near the sea level in Devonshire,
to a height of about 2700 feet iu the West Highlands. Its habitats
