
Scotland it occurs on tlio slioros of Locli Lomond, on tire west coast
of Argyleshire, in tho Isles of Arran and Mull, in Orkney and tho
outer Ilohrides. In Ireland it is abundant; and it is found in the
Channel Isles. Tho range in altitude appears to extend from the
coast level, to an elevation of about 600 foot. I t prefers shady rooky
