Superior Wings have,, on each, two long, fquare,-
yellow fpo.ts, joined together at their corners,
placed near the tips, and joining to the anterior
edges o f each wing. Near the middle alfo, is a
pretty large eye, almoft joining-to the anterior
edge j the iris being black and harrow, the pupil
large, and the fame colour-with the wing.— T h e
Inferior Wings • are: without - any fpots -or marks
whatever.
-• TJnder-fde-.— The Palpi- are dark brown and
long, being like threads at their extremities, and
itanding eredt over the head.— T h e Breajl, Sides j
and Abdomen?, are o f one dark brown colour.— All
the Wings on this fide are dark brown ; but a
degree lighter than that on the upper-fide.— T h e
Superior ones have three yellow fppts on each*;
two o f them being the fame as thofe feen on the
upper-fide, the other- is ,pjaced between the two
firft, and the lower corner.— T-he Inferior Wings
have no fpots • or - marks whatever op- them.— All
the wing.s are dentated-; the fcollops o f the
fuperior wings • being final!,; and- thofe-of the;
inferior very large;-.

feen on this fide.— T h e Inferior Wings are the
fame colour here as on the upper-fide, without
any marks on them.

d’une belle et douce couleur, brune obfcure, ou de"
chocolat, et paro iflent comme du velours.—Chacune
des Ailes SupérieuresÀ deux taches jaunes longues e t :
quarrées jointes enfemble a leurs coins, fituées près
, des bouts, et joignant aux bords antérieurs de chaque '
arle. Près du milieu fé trouve auffi-un a fiez grand-
oeil, prefique joignant au bord antérieur, l ’iris :
étant- noir et étroit, et la prunelle grande et de la
.. même couleur que l’aîle.— Les Ailes Inférieures-
n’ont point la moindre tache ou marque.
Le Deffousv—-L.es . Antennules brunes obfcures’
longyes, comme des fils à leurs extrémités, et fe
. tiennent érigées au deflus de la tête.— La Poitrine
- les Côtés, et IAbdomen, - font d’une couleur brune '
obfcure uniformé.— Toutes les Ailes de ce cô:é font
. brunes obfcures, mais un degré plus clair en couleur
qu’en deflus.— ‘Les Supérieures ont chacune
trois taches jaunes, deux defquelles font les mêmes
que celles veues en-defius, l’autre eft fituée entre les J
deux première et le coin inférieurs—-Les Ailes Inférieures
font fans tache ou marque.— Toutes les »
