Th i s Bird was of the Bignefs of our Englifh Sterling
; its Bill, thick, long, and lharp pointed ; the
upper Mandible of a dark cinereous or aih Colour : the
under Mandible blue ; the Pupil of the Eye of a lhining
black p: the Irides of a lovely yellow* bordered With a
broad Stripe; of blue ending in a Point on each Side ; the
Head, Keck, and upper Part of the Breaft, part of
the Back; the Wings and Tail black, except fome white
Spots in the upper cóvert Feathers of the Wings, all the
reft of the Body is of a fine gold yellow.
It refembles the Starling in all its A ¿lions being very
mifcheivous. It is a Native o í Jamaica, and other of the
Caribhee IJlands. This Bird I drew from a Bird which
Her Grace the Duchéis of Bortlandbrought with her from
Jamaica. I have feen four or five of them fet upon and
