T h e o n ly e x am p le o f th is species that has come under my obsê|ÿàtipn^'.‘flîelfin’e adult specimen which
graces my^colpctiohi’and which I received from the neighbourhood ||||P’orfc' Stephens in 1843. Unfortunately
I am not able to give any information respecting it, as nqÿtip te-rôf'\any-Mnd0accompanied the
specimen. Its dark colouring and very slender and elegant • dt from every other species
o f the group to which it belongs.
The entire plumage is bluish or slaty blaek^ witfôtlfe exception o f the chin, which is pure white.
The figure is rather less than the natural size.
