S P E C I F I C CHARACTER.
Gladiolus foliis enfiformibus, ad oras crifpus;
floribus fecundis, palidè rubris; lacinils
corollae rotundatis ; tubo gracili, longiflìmo.
Gladiolus with fword ihaped leaves, curled at
the edges; flowers point all one way, and
are of a pale red ; fegments of the bloflbm
rounded ; tube ilender, and very long.

Common, laft year in the month of July. We do not perceive that the treatment of this plant,
fliould differ from the reil of its congeners.
