COROLLA. Monopetala, rotata. Tubus bre--
yiffimus. Limbus femiquinquefidus, magnus,
plicatus.
STAMINA. Filamenta quinqué, fubulata, minima,
conniventia. Antherae eredae, conniventes.
P I S T I L L U M . Germen fubrotundum. Stylus
filiformis, ftaminibus fere longior. Stigma
obtulum.
PERICARPIUM. Bacca fub-globofa, bilocularis,
intra calycem maximum, inflatum, claufum,
pentagonum.
SEMINA plurima, reniforraia, compreffa.
EMPALEMENT. Cup one leaf, bellied, half fiveeleft,
and five-fided; the fegments are tapered;
permanent.
BLOSSOM, o n e petal, ^vheel-íllaped. Tube very
fliort. Border half five-cleft, large, and
plaited.
CHIVES. Five threads, awl-ihaped, very fmall,
and approaching. Tips upright, and approaching.
