distinct from the cuticle of the pileus, superficial. Hy-
menophore continuous with the stem. Gills persistent,
dry, becoming discoloured, powdered with the slowly
falling spores. Trama fibrillose. Spores globose or
oblong, sometimes apiculate, ochraceous on white paper.

equally fleshy, viscid. Stem firm, dry.
