In the Botanical Register above referred to, where it is figaired under
the name of Luteo-albicans. it is erroneously stated to have been introduced
by the late Mr. Basingtoii, Nui-seryraan, Stoke Newington. Tlie
merit of its introduction belong-s to Captain Welbank, in honour of
whom it has been named, and who, together with Captain Rawes, imported
plants of it in 1820.
