days the petals gradually open and spread nearly flat, as well as the cup,
or column, of stamina, whieh is comparatively short, and divided into
separate parcels. The largest petals are round, and about an inch and
a h a lf in d iam e te r; the others ai'e roundish oblong, aud a little smaller.
All of them are extremely delicate, like those of Welbank's White, repre-
sented a t folio 27.
