Young mole, in change, similar in plumage to the female. Front and upper port of head dork preen, colours
of the adult male having appeared. Inner webs of primaries dark purple, outer rufous brown. Some o f the
secondaries all dork purple. Chin dork purple, a few green feathers harrng appeared m the centre. Underparts
white, thickly spotted and barred with blackish brown, a few feathers haring turned to a neh green on upper
part of breast. Tail rufous brown, Bill, feet, and tarsi black. ' ., r - '¿ l i I H H H H
Female —Entire upper ports light olive-brown; outer edges of wmgs and tod rufou, brown; a broad blachsh
brown line from bill through the eye to the nape of the neck; superciliary stripe and thmat white; a narrow
brownish black line from base of under numdible..along side of the throat; upper part of breas wlnte narrowly
