Cauhbus angulosis, glabris, paniculatis; ramis sterilibus, elongatis. Foliis glabris, petiolatis
venosis, rugosis, opacis, argute serratis; caulinis ovato-v. obiongo-lanceolatis, v. stiblanceolatis
(mferionbus hand raro deltoidcis), basi pinnatifidis v. pinnatipartitis v . utrinque foliolo petiolulato
auctis. Inflorescentiæ rachi, pedunculis pedicellisque glanduloso-puberulis.
Planta perennis, a-4-pedalis, ploricaulis, excepta inflorescentia glabra. RAOtxrepens. Caoies erecti, angulosi (plerumque <i v.
-goni), virides, virgati, stricti, medulla fared (demum fistulosi), paniculad, inflorescentia aphylla (v.nonnisi adinfimasramifi-
cationes foliis parvis stipata) solitaria terminati, secus basin aphylli, cætero foliosi; robustiores juxta basin digitum minoren,
crassi. Rami modo sparsi, modo verticillati, axillares, graciles, simplices, virgati, erecti, stricti,. foliosi, angulosi, omnes steriles;
superiores (inflorescentiam demum subæquantes) inferioribus longiores. Folia saturate viridia (subtus pallidiora), te-
nuia, opaca, subpennivenia, rugosa, subhorizontalia, petiolata, acuminata, argute serrata v. serrato-dentata, modo glandulis
punctiformibus (oculonudo inconspicuis) sdpitulads conspersa, modo eglandulosa; radicalia nulla. Folia caulina omnia aut
