* Dr. Sclater enumerates eleven species of Thamnopkilus which he could not arrange
in the ‘ Catalogue.’ I have endeavoured to place ten of these in what appears to be
their true position. One species, Thamnopkilus lafresnayanus of d’Orbigny (cf. Sclater,
Cat. B. xv. p. 180, note), is referred by d’Orbigny himself to the genus Formicivora
(Voy. p. 182, pi. 6. fig. 1). It seems to me to be a species of Myrmotherula, judging
from the figure, and in this sense Dr. Sclater himself (p. 229) again mentions the
species.
