* Mr. Wittner Stone informs me that he has recently examined the type of Cassin’s
Dryoscopus atrialatus at the request of Prof. Reichenow, who suggested that it might
be the male of M.flammulatus. This Mr. Stone has found to be the case.
t Shelley in his List of the ‘ Birds of Africa ’ includes two more species of Artomyias'.—
Artomyias stuhlmanni (Shelley, t. c. p. 95, no. 1330)—Muscieapa stuklmanni,
Shelley, op. eit. p. 94, no. 1319—Pedilorhynchus stuhlmanni, Reichenow. (Of p. 212
of the present j Hand-list.’) Artomyias diabolica (Reichen. & Neum.; Shelley, op. cit.
p. 95), is not a Flycatcher but a Weaver-Finch of the genus Nigrita.
