Perithecia saepius sparsa, saltern initio cortice, plus minusve pustulatim inflato,
tecta, coriacea, crassiuscula, glabra, ostiolo brevi, crumpente, numquam
pruinoso. Asci ampli, paraphysati, octospori, subsessiles. Sporidia oblonga,
pluriseptato-muriformia, colorata, saepius exsilientia, et subinde cum pycpospo-
ris, matricem foedantia, muco obvoluta.
Fungilli ramicolae, natura perithecio ostioli et sporidiorum mox digno.scendi.
Genus hoc a Karslenula peritheciis glabris, ostiolis non pruinosis spori-
diisque muco obvolutis distinguitur et a Pleospora peritheciis corticolis differì, a
Teichospora vero peritheciis tectis, sporidiis muco obvolutis recedit. Cum aliis
generibus Phaeodictyaruni sivipUcium nec comparandum.
