rum, fructus solo peristomio diversus.
Folla pro more 5- et 8- sticha, lanceolata, lineali-lanceolata et lanceola-
to-subulata, apice dense, basi laxe areolata, margine integra, rarius apice serrula
ta , costa tereti in vel ultra apicem procedente instructa, cbloropbyllosa.
Florescentia monoica, dioica, rarissime licrmapbrodita. Flores masculi, una specie
excepta ubi monopbylli, gemmiformes, in speciebus dioicis semper terminales,
genitalia et paraphyses ut in genere Barbula. Flores feminei generis Barbulae.
