Prof. Beichenow points out (Orn. MB. viii. p. 86) that the name of
M. cyanostictus, Cab.,. belongs to the Eastern form and not to the
Southern M. meridionalis. The latter name must be restored, and that
of M. sharjjei, Hartert, suppressed. The first four species of the genus
will be as follows :—
