Reinier Ottens, Atlas major cum generales omnium
totius orbis regnorum, etc.. Amsterdam, s.a.
Around 1740, Reinier Ottens compiled an atlas which
it was possible to acquire in anything from a two-
volume to a fifteen-volume set. The Museum has a six-
part and a fifteen-part copy. The six-volume set
(604 maps) became world-famous for the splendid colouring
by Henricus Gans.
