The female resembles that o f 0 . leucaspis, but has the bill longer than in that species.
It appears to be confined to Costa Rica.
The figures in the Plate represent two males and a female of the size of life.

'ms species lias already been figured in the Monograph—the male as O. leucaspis, the female as
t. castaneiventris. It has been thought better to take advantage of the opportunity of re-figuring it
lono* with the other two species o f the geuus.
Like O. cinereicauda, it has a white throat, but may be easily distinguished from that species by its
